Since most sessions are presenting about fundraising this week, and how important it is to running camp, we thought it would be prudent to have a post about fundraising. Here’s Nacho’s top 10 fundraising ideas! Happy FUNdraising!!

TOP 10 WOODSEY FUNDRAISING IDEAS

1. BAKE SALE!!!!!
Get your gang of Woodseys together to bake a batch of cookies or muffins and sell them on Bruin Walk! Talk to your Lship about getting a permit, and tell all your friends to come!! Meanwhile, be enthusiastic and know how to capture the hearts of your fellow Bruins.

2. MAKE A YOUTUBE VIDEO!!!!!!! Make a YouTube video about why you are doing Unicamp and why you need to fundraise $425 in the next couple of months. Make sure his video is publicized well online through Facebook as well as other online sources. If you are inspirational and convincing enough, maybe someone (other than your family and friends) will be touched and donate to your Unicamp donation page.

3. AUCTION A DATE!! 
If you are sure that there are people in this world that would like to take you out on a nice lunch or dinner date, make yourself available and auction yourself for a high fundraising- worthy price! Remember, this one date you go on is all for a good cause; you’re sending a kid to camp!

4. PUBLIC MUSIC-MAKING & DANCING!!!!!
Serenade the random folks that walk down Santa Monica’s 3rd Street Promenade, Venice Beach, or even Bruin Walk. All you need  is some musical talent, dancing skills, and a bucket labeled “DONATE $$ FOR A GOOD CAUSE!” Plus, inviting other Woodsey volunteers to join you would make this fundraising technique more entertaining and worthwhile. (Keep in mind you need to secure a permit from Santa Monica to do this!!)

5. CLEAN BATHROOMS OR DO LAUNDRY!!!!!!!
Become a cleaning maid or loyal butler for those who need it, but only for a good fundraising price! Of course, no one wants to scrub a toilet or touch someone else’s underwear….. But you’re doing it for the kids!

6. LEMONADE STAND!!!!!!!
Spring is coming around the corner….. And it’s super hot already! Home-made lemonade will attract those who are in need of something to cool them down during this warm season. Set up a stand in front of your apartment!

7. FOOD DELIVERIES AROUND TOWN!!!!!!!
Organize a food delivery day, where you and other Woodsey volunteers can make delicious packaged meals, and then send them to people who live in the on-campus dorms, or apartments that are close to Westwood area.

8. BOBA SALE!!!!!
Nothing can go wrong with a typical boba sale, because many UCLA students love boba! Just make sure to host the sale on a sunny day, and you’re set to make some major $$$. Be sure to set this up with your Lship to get a permit for this!

9. BE A DRIVER!!!!!!!
Act as a chauffeur for the lovely couples who would like to go out on a romantic date without one of them having to drive. After driving them around town, make sure they know your fundraising rate for the night!

10. THE ONE DOLLAR TECHNIQUE!!!!!
Simply ask 425 people to donate $1 to you!!! DONE!
